A couple months ago, we announced we'd be leaving 1267 Queen Street and changing how we do business in order to keep the workroom alive. A big part of the equation of our new structure is moving the retail/online shop out of Toronto to reduce the exorbitant brick & mortar costs that we can no longer sustain. I'm delighted to finally share with you that we just got the keys to the workroom's new permanent home. Welcome to your first sneak peek of the workroom Sprucedale.

We're finally giving you a sneak peek into our beautiful Parkdale Studio that will be located at 207 Cowan Avenue. Located just one block west of our current location and behind the Parkdale Public Library sits a sweet heritage building that was formerly a switchboard office for Bell Canada. Some updates and renovations are being done to the unit before we take over at the beginning of September, but this photo gives you a glimpse at how perfect this bright space will be as a welcoming workshop space for us to continue to make and learn together in.

The creative team at Ruby Star Society had the brilliant idea to put together the most adorable printed Mask Panel. The panel includes pieces for up to twenty different masks (if you use another fabric as your lining). If you're looking for a fun way to get more masks in your rotation, this is probably the cutest way to do it. Our first round sold out real quick, but we've got a big order due to arrive in October. Black Lives Matter | the workroom

Black Lives Matter

We welcome June with optimism and hope that we can all do better to acknowledge, amplify and support our black community. Everyone at the workroom strongly believes that Black Lives Matter. We know we can do more to be anti-racist and are committed to educating ourselves on how to be better allies. In addition to learning and signing petitions, we have donated $100 to each the following seven organizations or funds this week. We will also be setting up monthly contributions going forward to maintain our financial commitment for the long term. We encourage you to consider what you are able to contribute whether it is monetary, your voice or your energy. The work to be done here is overwhelming but essential.

New! Liberty of London Winterbourne

The new Liberty of London Winterbourne collection is a botanical explosion of classic floral prints in that Liberty style that we all love so much. There are thirty one prints in the whole collection with limited half metre & fat quarter bundles available. We've also done a few smaller sets based on the three colourways - Cloud, Berry and Spruce. This collection is printed on Lasenby quilting cotton weight.
