Processing Times
- Orders are typically processed and shipped within 1–4 business days.
- During sales or high-volume periods, processing times may be longer.
- If you require your purchase by a specific date, please let us know, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.
Shipping Costs
- Shipping costs are estimated through Canada Post.
- We’re happy to work with alternate carriers for customers outside of Canada. Contact us to arrange your preferred shipping method.
Delivery Times
- All packages are sent with tracking service through Canada Post to ensure safe delivery.

- Canada: 2–9 business days
- USA: 4–10 business days
- International: 2–6 weeks
Local Pick-Up
If you’re in Toronto, you can opt for free local pick-up at our Pick-Up Point: 46 Noble Street.
- You’ll receive an email when your order is ready for pick-up, once it arrives from our Sprucedale Shop.
- Check our Curbside Pickup Schedule for updated hours.

Return & Exchange Policy
We take great care in curating and packaging your orders, and we want you to love what you receive! However, due to the nature of our products, we have the following policies in place:
Final Sale Items
- Cut fabric (including yardage, fat quarters, and bundles) is final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
- Patterns, books, and digital downloads are non-refundable due to copyright restrictions.
- Workshops & Retreats: Registrations are non-refundable, but if you’re unable to attend, you may transfer your spot to another person. Please notify us as soon as possible to facilitate any transfers.
- Sale and clearance items are final sale and cannot be returned.
Exchanges & Store Credit
- If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos, and we will arrange a replacement or store credit where applicable.
- Unopened and unused notions, tools, or accessories may be exchanged for store credit within 14 days of delivery, provided they are in their original packaging and in resellable condition. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
Workshop & Retreat Policies
- All workshop and retreat registrations are non-refundable.
- If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another person. Please contact us in advance to facilitate the transfer.
- In rare cases where we must cancel or reschedule a workshop, participants will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to another session.
Order Issues & Missing Items
If there is an issue with your order, such as a missing or incorrect item, please email us at shop AT theworkroom.ca within 7 days of delivery, and we will work to resolve it as quickly as possible.
