Sherri Lynn Wood

Sherri Lynn Wood

We had to share the wonderful work from last week's Sherri Lynn Wood workshops! We've posted all the images we captured on Flicker in the following albums - Improv Round RobinColour String TheoryImprov Mash Up and Get Your Bias Strip Curve On. We learned so much from Sherri and from each other in these fun classes and it shows in the results each person created.
Indigo Printing

Indigo Printing

Indigo Printing combines block printing and stencil work with one of our favourite natural dyes, Indigo. The range of results we’ve seen from this new workshop is truly inspiring. Check out some of the images from our last couple sessions here!

Not only can you take this workshop with Julie Sinden, but you can also grab a kit by The Love of Colour to DIY at home.

Debbie's Fibre Reactive Dyed Fabric

Debbie's Fibre Reactive Dyed Fabric

This is such a fun and messy workshop. As always, Julie Sinden shares a wealth of information with the class. Students get to mix their own dyes and apply them directly to the fabric, and then roll them around in puddles of colour. (Be sure to wear messy clothes for this one!) And, since this is a one-session class, they get to bring home their fabrics on the day of the class!
New Class : Indigo

New Class : Indigo

Since Indigo is so unique, we wanted to offer a longer and more intensive opportunity for students to work with this beautiful blue dye. Indigo also increases in intensity with each consecutive dip in the vat, so the longer you have to work, the deeper the shades of blue you can achieve.
