the workroom 17.0
Welcome to the latest Operating System of the workroom! You would think that after seventeen years, we would know what to expect next, but it seems like we may never be done evolving this business and our community.
We are wrapping things up in our Parkdale Studio right now and just about everything, including the longarm will be loaded onto a moving truck on Tuesday November 5th to be delivered to the workroom Sprucedale.
As we set up and hopefully renovate our second floor studio over the winter months, the workroom team is designing exciting ways to deepen connections within our community. Our first virtual event is the Double Time Quilt Along that officially launches today, November 1st! The Quilt Along is free to join for anyone, simply add your email to the list here to receive weekly prompts, check-ins, and updates straight to your inbox.
BONUS! the workroom studio Silver members will have access to our enhanced Double Time Quilt Along Experience through a dedicated space where we will host an ongoing group chat for questions and progress updates, a weekly checklist to help you stay on track, recordings of the zoom meetings, opportunities to connect with other Quilt Along members to swap fabric or tools and more! Are you curious about the Quilt Along? Our welcome meeting will be this Sunday November 3rd at 9am. Check the event details here.
Great News! We'll be leaving our local pickup shelf in Parkdale. We are partnering with our friends at Noble Space & Kiriki Press to continue our local pickup for online orders, as well as a machine servicing and scissor sharpening drop off/pick up location at 46 Noble Street. Many of you may have fond memories of our time in Studio 102 where we hosted many workshops and housed our longarm for a few years. Updated Pick Up details can be found here.
Save the date! 2025 is going to be a fun year and we've got three events you can pencil into your calendars! the workroom studio members will get early access to these upcoming events when we post them.

We've made it easier than ever to spot these Canadian makers with a special flag as you scroll through our site.
