The Handmade Wardrobe Year
The Handmade Wardrobe Year is a year-long sewing experience at the workroom designed to help you grow your garment-making skills and confidence while creating a wardrobe that truly reflects you.
Members get access to every garment workshop, Karyn Valino teaches in 2026, with the choice to sew along live or follow the replays at your own pace. You’ll also be invited to bi-monthly studio sessions where we plan projects, share progress, and connect as a supportive community of makers.
Whether you're able to join The Handmade Wardrobe Year or not, this is part of the workroom's commitment to making our virtual workshops even better with every one we do. Our goal is to build a growing library of patterns, techniques, and inspiration to guide you as you create your own thoughtful, handmade wardrobe.
BONUS! Join now and get access to the final three garment workshops of 2025.
There are just 11 spots left - We'd love for you to join us!

Merchant & Mills Weekender Bag : Community Sew Along
A community sew-along for the Merchant & Mills Weekender Bag
The Merchant & Mills Weekender Bag is thoughtfully designed, beautifully utilitarian, and full of satisfying construction details. It’s the kind of make many of us want to start, but don’t always find the time to finish on our own.
That’s exactly why we’re hosting a Community Sew-Along.
January Finish It Challenge
Our January Finish It Challenge is a four-week, online invitation to spend time with projects you’ve already begun with support, structure, and zero pressure to rush or perfect.
Online Garment Sewing Workshops & Handmade Wardrobe Year
Virtual sewing workshops, studio passes, and Handmade Wardrobe Year
the workroom’s virtual sewing workshops are designed to support thoughtful, skill-building garment sewing - whether you’re joining for a single project or building a handmade wardrobe over time.
Rather than offering a single path, there are several ways to sew with the workroom, depending on how much structure, continuity, and ongoing support feels right for you. This guide outlines each option and how they connect, helping you choose what best fits goals.
