Double Time Quilt Along Week 1
Your Week 1 Checklist
Here are the steps to help you get started and make the most of Week 1:
- Make sure you have your PDF pattern or a copy of the Handmade Getaway book: This will be your guide for each step of the Quilt Along.
- Gather your fabric: Choose your fabrics and set them aside, ready for cutting and stitching.
- Organize your quilting tools and supplies: Find and organize your tools (rotary cutter, quilting rulers, Flatter) so they’re all within reach.
Week 1 Milestone: Post a photo of your fabric choices to Instagram. By sharing, you’ll automatically be entered to win a Week 1 prize! Not only will it be fun to see everyone’s fabric picks, but it’s also a great way to kick off connections with your fellow quilters. Don't forget to use the hashtag #DoubleTimeQAL
Karyn will be hosting another Zoom meeting on Sunday morning 9am EST. to review week 2. She'll talk about preparing your template, using the ruler and demo doing a test block. We'll post the link in the Week 2 email on Friday! Sign-Up to get on the list!

Merchant & Mills Weekender Bag : Community Sew Along
A community sew-along for the Merchant & Mills Weekender Bag
The Merchant & Mills Weekender Bag is thoughtfully designed, beautifully utilitarian, and full of satisfying construction details. It’s the kind of make many of us want to start, but don’t always find the time to finish on our own.
That’s exactly why we’re hosting a Community Sew-Along.
January Finish It Challenge
Our January Finish It Challenge is a four-week, online invitation to spend time with projects you’ve already begun with support, structure, and zero pressure to rush or perfect.
Online Garment Sewing Workshops & Handmade Wardrobe Year
Virtual sewing workshops, studio passes, and Handmade Wardrobe Year
the workroom’s virtual sewing workshops are designed to support thoughtful, skill-building garment sewing - whether you’re joining for a single project or building a handmade wardrobe over time.
Rather than offering a single path, there are several ways to sew with the workroom, depending on how much structure, continuity, and ongoing support feels right for you. This guide outlines each option and how they connect, helping you choose what best fits goals.
