May Mending Challenge
A Year of Intentional Making
The Mending Challenge is part of our Year of Intentional Making, a series built around working thoughtfully with what we already have. Across the year, we’ll focus on finishing, scraps, mending, repurposing, and returning to projects that are already in our hands.
Rather than constantly reaching for something new, this series invites us to slow down, use what’s within reach, and see what becomes possible when we work within gentle constraints.
This month, our focus is mending.
Over three relaxed Zoom gatherings, we'll focus on repair, care, and extending the life of well-loved garments and textiles. This challenge invites thoughtful mending, visible or invisible, and a slower approach to upkeep.
Part of our 2026 Year of Intentional Making, this bi-monthly challenge series is designed to help you slow down, work thoughtfully with what you already have, and reconnect with the joy of making.
