Quilting will never be the same once you learn to longarm.
In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll get hands-on with the Bernina Q24, our professional longarm quilting machine and learn all the essentials to get started confidently.

You’ll be guided through:

How to properly prepare and load a quilt
Winding a bobbin and threading the machine
Understanding tension and troubleshooting
The basics of free motion quilting

Whether you're finishing a quilt top for the first time or ready to explore new creative techniques, this class is your entry point into the wide world of longarm quilting. Students will work on a group practice quilt during class. All supplies and materials are included with the class fee.

To encourage hands-on practice, all students are required to purchase rental time when registering for the class. You’ll use this time for your own projects after class, building your skills and confidence.

Prerequisite : This class is for intermediate sewers who are already comfortable with a regular sewing machine.

CLASS SUPPLIES : Class fees include workshop registration and in-shop use of sewing machines and irons. All supplies, materials and personal tools are to be provided by each student, unless otherwise specified. Upon enrolment, a Class Confirmation and Supply List will be emailed by our shop team so that these items can be gathered or purchased prior to the class. We welcome a visit, call or email with any questions regarding this workshop and the required supplies prior to registration.

CANCELLATION POLICY : Class fees are non-refundable. Any cancellations or changes to your registration must be done at least 72 hours prior to the class start date in order to be issued a store credit. Cancellations that are made less than 72 hours before the class start date and students who do not show up to class will forfeit their class fee.
