Inspired by a vintage Austrian hiking jacket. This neat mid-season piece is perfect for all weathers. A double breasted jacket that can be lined or unlined. It features two flap pockets and a button tab to close the collar.

Denham is more closely fitting than a lot of our other patterns, do carefully check the finished measurements table, and if in doubt size up.

Skill Level: Intermediate

Sizes: This is a multi-size paper pattern that comes in two size ranges, please ensure your selection reflects desired fit.
*See images for more sizing information and fabric requirements.

Suggested Fabrics: Dry oilskin, oilskin, linen, 8 -12oz denim, wool, corduroy, cotton twills or canvas. A heavier weight cloth will result in a more structured jacket.
For linings we'd suggest our barrier lining if using an oilskin, otherwise - cotton voile, lightweight linen, cotton poplin, lightweight wool and slip linings.

Additional Supplies:

  • Matching thread.
  •  16 x 2cm / 3/4" buttons*
  • Optional (recommended for most fabric): 0.9M/1YD interfacing.
  • If making an unlined jacket you will need 0.4M / 1/2YD of lining for the pocket bags.
  • *Option - 3 smaller buttons can be used on the tab and lapel, in which case you will need: 13 x 2cm / 3/4" and 3 x 1.5cm / 1/2" buttons.

All seam allowances are 1.5cm unless stated otherwise and are included in the pattern.
