Merchant & Mills : Quink Jacquard Square
This layered cotton has a jacquard weave that gives it a quilted look and feel. The reverse is a gauzy cotton, there is no batting in the middle of this cloth, the inside is made up of a series of thicker yarns which gives it the quilted feel. The top is a fine cotton. If possible we would advise overlocking your raw edges before sewing to prevent fraying.
We can see this being used for throws, quilts, quilted jackets, oversized cushions, and smaller cosmetic bags.
Made with 100% BCI cotton : The Better Cotton Initiative is a global not-for-profit organization and the largest cotton sustainability programme in the world.
Manufacturer : Merchant & Mills
Width : 47” wide/ 120 cm wide
Content : 100% Cotton
Fabric Care : Handwash cool. Do not tumble. Shake out and dry flat. Iron cool.
Please Note : This fabric is prewashed and hand dyed in continuous 5 metre bundles. There may be colour graduation over the piece. Extra care is taken to cut this fabric accurately, but due to the nature of the jacquard, it may stretch/shrink slightly after cutting.
When planning projects we suggest considering ordering enough yardage for colour and pattern matching from the same bundle.
Fabric is priced per metre. 1 metre = 39 inches. Minimum cut is .5 metres for garment fabrics.
Suggested Mettler thread colour match: 0827 Dark Blue
