The Ruby Vest is the ultimate layering piece and is completely reversible. Multiple customization options allow you to truly make the vest of your dreams. I love quilting my Ruby Vests and have included instructions to do so, but it is optional.

Fabric : For this pattern, you can use anything from quilting cotton to flannel, sherpa, pre-quilted fabric, and more. Our favorites are generally cottons or linens, between 3-7 oz per square yard. We strongly discourage making your bias binding from fabrics on the heavier side of that range, as it can make the construction quite tricky. Knit fabrics with a lot of stretch are not recommended.

Sprucedale maker space/shop for fabric, notions, patterns, books, sewing machines, inspiration, and project cheerleading.

We acknowledge and deeply appreciate that the land on which we now live and operate in Sprucedale, within the Almaguin Highlands, is part of the traditional and ancestral territory of many Indigenous peoples, including the Anishinaabeg, specifically the Ojibwe and Algonquin nations.
