Sashiko
Sashiko is traditional Japanese embroidery built on simple geometric patterns - originally used to reinforce and mend fabric, today as practical as it is decorative. It's the stitching behind boro, and a natural fit for visible mending and quilting alike.
We curate sashiko thread the same way we curate fabric - by colour. Our thread bundles are grouped into thoughtful palettes, alongside Emma Creations thread, samplers, Clover notions, and Hidamari needles, chosen for sewists, quilters, and visible menders picking up sashiko for the first time.
