Merchant & Mills : The Sidney Sweatshirt Pattern
Sidney is a boxy sweatshirt with a loose crew neck and finger skimming sleeves.
Skill Level: Beginner with Jersey type and Jacquards
Sizes: This is a multi-size paper pattern that comes in two size ranges, please ensure your selection reflects desired fit.
Please note this is an oversized sweatshirt, please do consult the finished measurements table. If you don’t want the oversized look we advise sizing down.
*See images for more sizing information and fabric requirements.
Suggested Fabrics: To get the structured boxy shape of Sidney, choose a medium to heavy weight cloth. Sweat shirting, jersey loopback and our cotton jacquards are ideal.
Additional Supplies:
- Matching thread
- Ribbing. Look at the chart in images for off the roll ribbing. If you are using our pre cut ribbing you will need 3 strips for sizes 6 – 14 and 4 strips for sizes 16 – 18.
Note – you can leave the ribbing off of the bottom of the sweatshirt, in which case you will only need 2 strips for all sizes.
All seam allowances are 1cm unless stated otherwise and are included in the pattern.
