Merchant & Mills' newest pattern collaboration with Francli Craftwear.  Ali from Francli Craftwear designs bags that are crafted with care, chosen with consideration and used for a lifetime. 

The perfect pack for weekend adventures. The Weekender comes in two sizes, small and large. The large being more of a weekend trip bag and the small could be more of an everyday or overnight option. Both options have a lining with a pocket inside and a pocket outside. 

The samples in the photos are made with water repellent zips however you can also just use standard zips. 

All seam allowances are 1cm unless otherwise stated.

Skill level - intermediate.

Fabric Suggestions:

  • Self - oilskin, dry oilskin, mid-heavy weight cotton canvas or drill, mid-heavy weight denim (8-14oz).
  • Base - heavyweight canvas, duck canvas, expedition dry oilskin, oilskin.
  • Lining - mid weight cottons and denim, barrier lining (if using dry oilskin, or oilskin).

Additional Supplies:

  • Matching thread.
  • 2x 2.5cm/1" G hooks.
  • 2x Leather tabs or leather remnant (10cm/4" x 6cm/22")
  • 2x Rivets.

Large Holdall: 

  • 272cm/107" x 30mm/14" webbing
  • 70cm/27.5" x 25mm/1" webbing.
  • 1x 22cm/10" finished zip & 1x 70cm/38" finished zip OR 2x continuous zips, 1 cut to 29cm/11.5" & 1 cut to 74cm/29".

Small Holdall:

  • 218cm/86" x 30mm/14" webbing
  • 64cm/25.5" x 25mm/14" webbing
  • 1x 20cm/8" finished zip & 1x 52cm/20" finished zip OR 2x continuous zizs, 1 cut to 24cm/9.5" & 1 cut to 65cm/22".
