A classic shirt-dress or shirt featuring a bib, grandad collar and cuffed sleeves. Dress has in-seam pockets.
Niven has been designed to be an oversized fit.
All seam allowances are 1.5cm unless stated otherwise and are included in the pattern.
Skill level : Advanced
Suggested Fabrics : We recommend fabrics with a tight weave to help with sewing the fine detailing; light to medium weight wovens such as cotton poplin, cotton chambray, Indian handlooms, hemp/cotton, lightweight denim (4-6oz).

For sizing we would recommend checking the finished measurements against a jacket that you like the fit of.

One of our favourite corners of The Button Dept. is the collection of unique glass buttons, everything from clear vintage-inspired styles to tiny hand-painted florals. These delicate pieces are like little works of art that add something truly special to any project.
We especially love using the hand-painted ones, but we know they’re fragile. We wanted to better understand how they hold up when exposed to water and gentle detergent.
