Float around in this light and airy batwing top. It's loose and comfortable. With an optional drawstring waist and a rib cuff, it is a simple make.
All seam allowances are 1.5cm unless stated otherwise and are included in the pattern.
Skill level : Advanced Beginner.
Suitable fabrics - lightweight wovens such as linen, cotton lawn or voile, cotton poplin, tencel, Indian handlooms, cotton double gauze. Choosing something like a cotton poplin that is tightly woven will give a more voluminous silhouette.
* Merchant & Mills patterns are now printed within Europe, the pattern paper is 70gsm white (FSC® certified) and is made only 180km away from the printers. The instructions now come in booklet format rather than A3 sheets. The paper is PEFC/01-31-126 certified.

We've added a couple new Sashiko books to our shelves recently. Simply Sashiko gives you simple but thorough lessons on the ins and outs (literally) of 36 different sashiko patterns, plus designs for stylish home and personal accessories so you can try them out.
