Merchant & Mills : Alta Mare Woolsey
A linen/wool double gauze. Pre laundered at the mill to make the softest fabric to ever exist. A perfect alternative to linen for the cooler months.
This cloth has two layers of linen/wool which are invisibly stitched together. This helps to trap air between the layers, which in turn keeps you very toasty.
This fabric is beautiful for dressmaking as well as cushions, throws, curtains and would even make a very cosy scarf. Because this fabric is a double gauze and has a soft and slouchy appearance we’d recommend boxy, simple silhouettes without too many details.
Please note you do not need to pre wash this fabric as it is laundered at mill. If you do decide to, you must overlock the edges before putting it in the machine.
