Squish Candies
This might be the sweetest delivery to land on our doorstep! Four Squish Candies flavours are now available at the workroom Sprucedale, Parkdale and theworkroom.ca! We're thrilled to bring Montreal-based Squish Candies to our shop. Discover the taste of artisanal candy that uses real fruit, herbs and spices in their craft.
Over the coming year, we'll be exploring and leaning into the General Store aspect of our new/old space here in Sprucedale. Our building is one of the larger spaces in our community and we feel it is really important to engage our immediate local community who may not be makers (yet!). We will be curating a collection of pantry items, confections, housewares and locally-made items that harken back to our General Store history. We want our neighbours to know they can pop in for a special treat they can't get anywhere else and when you make the trip to see us, we'll have some snacks ready for you too.
We sent a sampling of Squish Candy down to the Parkdale Studio this week, so grab a bag when you arrive for class or pop one in your cart as you're checking out online. We're excited to honour the history of our building in new and old ways this coming year. What comes next is going to be really exciting.
Red Roses, Sparkly Bears, Vegan Rainbow Bears and Sour Peach. Pick one, some or all and add some yummy gummies to your making time.

Steingut Pottery for Gift Giving Season!
Keep gift giving down to Earth this Winter! We've created a fun little Pop-Up Maker Market in partnership with Toronto's Steingut Pottery!
Anne Koehler of Steingut Pottery has been a part of our Pop-Up Maker Markets over the years and works with unique glazes, including the Wood Ash (brown) exterior glaze made from tree ash from a 200 year old red oak formerly on their property.
