New! Merchant & Mills Cirrus & Cassidy PDF Patterns
We’re welcoming two new Merchant & Mills designs to our online shop - Cirrus and Cassidy.
Cirrus Top
Taking inspiration (and its name) from high-altitude clouds, the Cirrus Top is airy and delicate - a wispy twist on a classic t-shirt. It has a sculptural silhouette that feels loose and relaxed, pairing beautifully with high-waisted skirts or trousers. The balance of shape and softness makes it one of those patterns you’ll reach for again and again.
This design shines in lightweight wovens such as linen, cotton lawn, Indian handlooms, voile, or tencel. For a more structured shape and a satisfyingly blousey sleeve, try fabrics with a tighter weave like poplin or shirting. You can make it with or without the drawstring hem, cinched and tied for a bit of shape, or left free for easy drape.
An advanced beginner make, Cirrus is perfect for anyone looking to build on their sewing basics, or for confident stitchers wanting a quick, satisfying project.
Available now as a PDF pattern in sizes XS–3XL.
Cassidy Jumpsuit
A brand-new pattern that feels like a classic already. The Cassidy Jumpsuit takes the best of classic utility shapes - think vintage American baseball shirts and Japanese military uniforms and merges them into a sleek, hardworking design.
Cassidy combines function and form with thoughtful details: a modular sleeve pattern for long or short sleeves, a concealed belt channel that ties at the front, and an elegant underarm curve that creates a roomy-yet-flattering fit. The result is a jumpsuit that’s both practical and beautiful and one you’ll want to wear year-round.
It works in a wide range of fabrics: lightweight denim or canvas, wool blends for winter, relaxed linens for everyday, or drapey tencels for evening wear. Endless outfits within one pattern.
