One Million Stars to End Violence
Free Star Weaving Workshop 2016
Join visiting Samoan-Australian artist & weaver and founder of the One Million Stars to End Violence project, Maryann Talia Pau, for a Star Weave Jam at the The Workroom Studio. Maryann is travelling around the world to promote her project and run free star weaving workshops with local communities. The goal is to weave and collect one million woven stars by July 2017 for a major display in April, 2018. Everyone is welcome. All woven stars are symbols of light, courage and solidarity to end all forms of violence, including violence against women, bullying and racism.
