In this three-session workshop, we’ll sew a non-raglan sweatshirt pattern from start to finish. We’ll explore two excellent pattern options: the Named Clothing Sloane Sweatshirt (a more fitted, modern silhouette) and the Merchant & Mills Sidney Sweatshirt (a relaxed, architectural shape). You’re welcome to choose the pattern that suits your style we’ll discuss the differences in fit and proportion so you can make an informed choice.
This class goes beyond basic sweatshirt construction. Together, we’ll explore how fabric choice affects structure and how small details elevate the finished garment. Whether you choose cotton Jacquard (for the Sidney), ponte, or a more structured sweatshirt fleece, you’ll gain real confidence to sew knit garments.
As always, I’ll sew the garment in real time, teaching through detailed demonstrations and sharing my thought process along the way from selecting seam finishes to working with a serger for construction and polished finishing details.

This workshop is suitable for confident beginners and beyond who are comfortable using a sewing machine and have some experience sewing garments.
