COVID 19 POLICY : This workshop has been scheduled as part of our transition to a new Masking Optional policy. We strongly encourage all attendees to wear masks while attending our workshop sessions. You’ve just learned the basics of using a sewing machine. It’s time to practice and build on those important skills. Students will get a refresher on machine threading and proper set up. You’ll be working with a simple pattern to make a lined tote bag with handles. Practice cutting double layers of fabric, proper pinning, maintaining your seam allowance and backstitching to create a solid foundation for future projects.

This beginner sewing class is one 3-hour session.

Instructor : Johanna Masko

Prerequisite : Sewing Machine Essentials, or equivalent experience.

CLASS SUPPLIES : Class fees include workshop registration and in-shop use of sewing machines and irons. All supplies, materials and personal tools are to be provided by each student, unless otherwise specified. Upon enrolment, a Class Confirmation and Supply List will be emailed by our shop team so that these items can be gathered or purchased prior to the class. We welcome a visit, call or email with any questions regarding this workshop and the required supplies prior to registration.

CANCELLATION POLICY : Class fees are non-refundable. Any cancellations or changes to your registration must be done at least 72 hours prior to the class start date in order to be issued a store credit. Cancellations that are made less than 72 hours before the class start date and students who do not show up to class will forfeit their class fee.
