Traditionally done on paper, Suminagashi, or marbling is an age-old technique that floats ink on water that was heavily guarded centuries ago. Students will have the opportunity to explore creating their own swirling and intricate patterns during this workshop and learn how to successfully transfer the work to pre-treated fabric samples. All supplies & materials will be provided.

Each student will receive 12 pieces of pre-treated cotton fabric to work with in class.

This surface design workshop is one 3-hour session

CLASS SUPPLIES : Class fees include workshop registration and in-shop use of sewing machines and irons. All supplies, materials and personal tools are to be provided by each student, unless otherwise specified. Upon enrolment, a Class Confirmation and Supply List will be emailed by our shop team so that these items can be gathered or purchased prior to the class. We welcome a visit, call or email with any questions regarding this workshop and the required supplies prior to registration.


CANCELLATION POLICY : Class fees are non-refundable. Any cancellations or changes to your registration must be done at least 72 hours prior to the class start date in order to be issued a store credit. Cancellations that are made less than 72 hours before the class start date and students who do not show up to class will forfeit their class fee.
