The Rushcutter is an oversized knee-length, A-line dress, designed for woven fabrics, available in two different styles. It is the perfect winter dress made in heavyweight fabrics, worn with tights and boots, while the sleeveless version, made in lighter fabrics, can become a summer wardrobe staple. Included in the pattern is an optional waist sash, that is suitable for both styles.

Illustrated instruction booklet guides makers through the making process, from selecting fabric, cutting the garment correctly, achieving a beautiful finish and everything in between - ensuring that nothing is left up to guess work and makers will feel supported and guided through the process of making the garment.

Skill level: Advanced Beginners and beyond
By working through this pattern, makers will gain confidence in: sewing a straight seam, sewing a curved seam, bias facing armholes / neckline, sewing buttonholes, buttons / invisible zip.

Sizes: 10 sizes included in the pattern (A - J, which equates to US sizes 2-20).

Suggested Fabrics: Consider using, light to mid-weight fabrics such as: cotton shirting, poplin, sateen, linen, silk, light to mid-weight wool, chambray or light to mid-weight denim.
Your fabric choice will have a big impact on the silhouette you will achieve. For a more structured, boxy look, consider mid-weight denim, twill or jacquard. Or, for a more relaxed, draped look, consider a viscose blend or silk crepe de chine.
