Improv Handwork : Log Cabin : Sunday December 10, 12pm-3pm
Welcome to a series of workshops that will explore improv patchwork entirely by hand piecing. Learn a traditional block with an entirely improvised construction, this is a kind and forgiving style of hand work. The Log Cabin block is a classic design that uses simple strips of fabric to build out from a centre square. The goal is to continue stitching, trimming and problem solving until we reach the size we want. Blocks can be joined to make a larger quilt or evolve into a single impressive piece.
This hand work class is one 3-hour session.
Instructor : Carolanne Graham
Prerequisite : None! This is a beginner hand work class.
